"What can I say, without Jenny Murphy would now be an absolute monster!

Murphy has been attending Jenny’s classes since he was 17 weeks old and the changes in him are immense. He started out in the puppy classes terrorising everyone and everything because all he wanted to do was play and he couldn’t concentrate on anything for more than a few seconds before he got bored. Without Jenny’s perseverance and encouragement I would have given up but she could obviously see that with a lot of training and hard work, Murphy would make a wonderful dog. I used to go home in tears from classes to start with because he would do absolutely nothing that he didn’t want to.

The group walks were even worse; I would spend most of my time trying to catch him. Attending Jenny’s classes has turned Murphy into a really lovely dog who is happy to learn new things and loves going to classes. He is truly a changed dog and we’ve got Jenny to thank for that. Murphy is 5 now and still attends classes every week, not that he needs to but we both really enjoy it. Murphy passed his Kennel Club Good Citizen Gold award earlier this year, something that I never thought he would be able to do. Murphy can still be mischievous but he’s fab and I wouldn’t be without him."

"I have used Krazy K9's for training my dogs for the past 3 years and I have recommended Jenny to several of my friends and family.

In February 2005 I got an Alaskan malamute puppy. When I got Dakota I wanted to find a puppy class so she would be socialised with people and dogs at a young age as malamutes are known for being a bit territorial and this can sometimes turn to aggression when they are older.

Dakota completed the 10 week course and I was very impressed with the fact that Jenny's classes are small - about 8 puppies in each class so the pups don't feel overwhelmed or frightened. All the puppies were taught to play and interact with one another but they were also taught to respect the other dogs' space. The puppies are also taught basic training using the clicker method which I find a much easier way for training a dog as the dog soon learns that when it gets something right it is clicked and rewarded. I carried on the training at home and she is a well behaved dog who loves meeting people. She is also fine with other dogs as long as they are not in her face.

In May this year we got our second Malamute, this time a male, so once again Bandit when to Jenny's puppy classes which as before was a nice small class (7 puppies). Like Dakota he was taught to interact with the other pups, but because of Bandit being a head strong male I decided to go to the naughty teenage classes which were also very helpful and once again it is small classes so the dogs don't feel overcrowded. Jenny always has control of the dogs and I have never seen any of the dogs in the classes cause a fight.

Dakota is now 4 and Bandit is 10 months old and both dogs still enjoy going to Jenny's training classes. I have had lots of dogs over the years and have used several different training classes but so many had too many dogs and they didn't use clicker training. I have got 2 well behaved dogs that I can take anywhere due to Jenny's professional training."

Sweet Success

"Sweet Georgia Brown ("George") was our first labrador and came to live with us at nine weeks old despite some people warning us that chocolate labs could be lazy and hard to train.

At the time, our vet recommended Jenny's puppy classes where I got to grips with using a clicker and George was introduced to livercake as a reward for getting things right. "You get out of your dog what you put in" were always Jenny's enthusiastic words of encouragement where training was concerned.

Six years on George and I are still enjoying Jenny's classes and group walks which have led to meeting new friends (human and doggy). George is a Pets as Therapy volunteer and visits Bristol Children's Hospital once a fortnight where she interacts and plays games (I get the feeling she thinks it's an extended version of Jenny's Fun and Games class).

Thanks Jenny for all your support and encouragement over the years and making owning and training a dog fun!

"I joined Krazy K9s in February 2007 with my cocker spaniel.  Although she was adorable, her worst habit was jumping up at everyone when they came to the front door and her lead walking was awful.  Since joining, her jumping up has improved tremendously and her lead walking is much better.  We go to Terrible Teens class and have also completed the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme and passed Bronze, Silver and Gold stages.  Not only does my dog love coming to class and going on dog walks, I have made lots of new 'doggie' friends and look forward to going to class as well.  Jenny runs very sociable classes and is very knowledgeable and helpful.  I would recommend her to anyone who would like to train their dog in a fun environment and make new friends."

"Four years ago, I had an 8 month old, wilfull border collie. He would not eat much food, had a lust for being two fields away from us and would not stay still for more than 2 seconds.

After taking advice from Jenny and attending dog walks and classes, I slowly got control and now enjoy every moment with my dog. Thankyou Jenny."

"Strong, independent and aloof are just some of the words used to describe Afghan Hounds and it certainly rings true for one of my hounds Lana. This breed is notoriously difficult to train and they are even said to be the most ‘stupid’ breed of dog around!

When I got my first Afghan Hound she was 10 weeks old and I enrolled her immediately onto puppy socialisation classes with Jenny. This was an invaluable experience for my pup where, under Jenny’s supervision she was introduced to other compatible dogs that helped teach her social and interaction skills, re-calls, play manners and basic obedience. Jenny is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to canine communication and she will assess your pup's character and suitability for interaction with other compatible canines. These sessions are particularly useful for owners that appreciate a helping hand with canine translation too as Jenny will interpret the body language displayed by your own dog!

During these sessions you as an owner will be introduced to the clicker training method which uses positive reinforcement training techniques that break down the communication barriers between owner and dog! No matter what breed of dog you have or what age that dog may be Jenny’s knowledge and experience of clicker training will help you ensure that you channel your dog’s energy into general obedience and new skills whilst developing your own leadership techniques. You will be amazed by the speed at which dogs learn using this type of training!

Me and my hairy Afghan Hound attended puppy training classes, terrible teens, socialisation walks (where she enjoys off lead exercise and supervised play), fun and games evenings and have taken the Kennel Club Good Citizen awards to silver level with the hope of achieving gold in the very near future! Many people are surprised by what can be achieved with a notoriously ‘head strong’ and arrogant breed but with Jenny’s knowledge of canine behaviour and obedience training breed will never be an excuse for short comings in training. It was this mind set that also led me to begin clicker training with my 11 year old rescue Afghan, Ralph. Proving that no matter what breed or what age, you can indeed, teach any dog new tricks!"

"I began training with Jenny nearly 5 years ago with my black lab puppy Blue. Having enjoyed the puppy training and terrible teens I wanted to continue doing something more with him. Jenny suggested competition obedience which at the time I knew nothing about, having only seen glimpses of it at Crufts. It didn’t take long to become hooked! Blue absolutely loves it - Jenny’s enthusiasm and passion for training is infectious. Her classes are always fun and her wealth of knowledge and experience working with different breeds ensures her advice and methods are always relevant to your dog. Blue and I had a great year last year winning a few rosettes which I would never have believed possible when we started. We have both learned so much. Thankyou Jenny for all your continued help and support."

"Seven years ago I attended Jenny's puppy classes with my sister-in-law's Lhasa Apso, Teddy. At the time I didn't have my own dog but enjoyed the experience immensely and saw the progress of this small, timid puppy develop into a lovely dog by the end of the classes, so when I got my own dog, three years ago I knew exactly where to take him.

My dog Oscar, also a Lhasa Apso was a completely different kettle of fish to Teddy. His 'Fonzie' (from Happy Day's) type attitude at puppy classes were a challenge to say the least. Thanks to Jenny's classes I have been able to tame the once over-amorous and uncontrollable Lhasa Apso into a different dog.

At times he still tests me, but, with the regular dog walks and thanks to Jenny's training techniques and support all along the way we have been able to overcome each different phase Oscar goes through."

"Our dog Ruby is just wonderful and this is chiefly down to Jenny. It was a real stroke of good fortune that we acquired her contact details when we first got Ruby 8 years ago. What Jenny doesn’t know about dogs we could write on one of Ruby’s whiskers!

Jenny runs an extensive range of training classes to suit all ages of dogs, from a few weeks to dogs of more mature years such as Ruby. She still goes to classes every week and thoroughly enjoys the experience as can be seen by her tail which wags vigorously and continuously throughout the class.

Thanks to Jenny’s classes we have 2 very well behaved dogs. This benefits not only us who are responsible for their behaviour but the dogs themselves. Not only do the classes stimulate them but they are happier animals as they know and respond to what is expected of them. Additionally Jenny’s classes have been beneficial to us both as we have learnt as much if not more than the dogs!
